Marlene Gray Proprietor, Instructor, PRO-Active Pilates, Penticton, BC
Marlene Gray (Owner) :: Marlene was born and raised near Lethbridge, Alberta. She moved to Penticton in 1993 and has been in Penticton's fitness industry for over 15 years. Marlene was a lifeguard, personal trainer, and fitness instructor in the community. She loves running and completed her first marathon in 1998. While rehabilitating a running injury, she found Pilates and knew she had found her passion. She loves how Pilates heals the body and gives people a life free of pain, improved posture and firm, lean muscles .

Alex Piggin :: Originally from New Zealand Alex has been a Penticton resident for the past 4 years. She spent 13 years as competitive BMX racer, 10 years ranked within the top 5 Nationally and competing at World Champs. Alex was also in the Royal New Zealand Navy for 3 years.

Progressing from being an avid gym junkie to Half Marathons and Triathlon, Alex completed her first Half Ironman Triathlon in 2002. After moving to Penticton in 2006 she increased the challenge to the Ironman distance, completing Ironman Western Australia Dec 2006, Ironman Canada 25th Anniversary 2007 and Ironman New Zealand in 2008.

Sharon O'Connor :: Moving to Canada at 15, from Ireland, I knew I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Being active and the great outdoors play a huge roll in my daily life. When I turned 21, I promised myself to try something new and enrolled in my first pilates class and instantly fell in love with the benefits. I jumped into the training right away and continued on to take my reformer training and never looked back. My goal is to help clients have an overall mind-body workout. I am truly blessed to do what I love. When I'm not teaching Pilates you can catch me on my yoga mat, playing soccer, hiking, cooking, reading, walking, jogging or playing with my favorite little man!

Sue Talor, Instructor, PRO-Active Pilates Penticton
Sue Talor :: Sue was born and raised in Penticton and recently returned with her husband and family to enjoy the active, healthy lifestyle the Okanagan has to offer. Originally trained as a dietitian/nutritionist, Sue has spent years educating people about nutrition and how to make good food choices. She began attending STOTT PILATES® classes after the birth of her fourth child and fell in love with the way it made her body feel. Now a Pilates Instructor, she teaches others the benefits of pilates and how to encorporate these principles into their daily lives. Her hobbies and interests include skiing, cycling, running, and golf.

Kathy Orioli, Instructor, PRO-Active Pilates Penticton
Kathy Orioli :: Growing up in the Lower Mainland, I have always been actively involved in various outdoor activities, keeping fit and having fun while doing it. I studied business and Kinesiology at SFU and decided that this is something I wanted to do forever – to teach and help people on their road to a better life in both body and mind. I had always enjoyed working out and participating in fitness classes, and then I realized I would be able to share this love and passion with others. Having been involved in teaching fitness for 10 years, I was first introduced to Pilates over 6 years ago. I quickly realized the benefits of Pilates and started my STOTT PILATES® training right away. Pilates has brought a sense of completeness and awareness to everything I do, whether it is physical or mental. I am mother of 2 boys and understand how difficult it can be to find the time and energy to take care of yourself, BUT I also realize how important and vital health and fitness is to every BODY and I love being able to help people challenge and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Farren Tilitzky :: Farren began training in Pilates with Marlene Gray to complement her dance education. She danced with Okanagan Studies in Penticton and graduated from Ecole Superieure de Ballet Contemporain in Montreal in 2008. Farren began teaching Pilates after a serious ankle injury ended her dance career. As well, she has completed the Knee Function and Stability Workshop and Anatomy Level 1. Farren lives in Montreal during the year, teaching pilates and attending university. She returns to Penticton for the summer to join the team at ProActive Pilates.
